Like every year, in 2017, the love of God engulfed my life with grace and faithfulness. This should not surprise those who journey with Christ.
A Christian walks into the future, into his very next day and into his next year, without knowing what the future holds. But he or she holds on to the One who holds the future.
Their hope, their salvation, and their security—all secured to the person and work of Jesus Christ. Walking in the valley can be difficult and often times demoralizing if they forget the promises of God in their life.
I began my year on that note. I didn’t know what was coming up, yet I held on to the promises of God. And I took my confidence in this word:
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” 1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV
Indeed, the Lord had prepared a precious year for me!
Thousands of miles apart, there was no way I would have found her. God orchestrated the whole process of getting to know her and getting married to her.
It was God who brought me to Delhi—the city where she lived—and it was God who touched the hearts of her family, who would go on to accept me despite my being the only believer in my entire family.
I always knew that God would bring my wife, but little did I know that He would give me the best of His daughters.
He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. Proverbs 18:22
And through my marriage, God began mending the broken relationships in my family. Truly, nothing is impossible for God.
The mercies and goodness of Lord did not end with my family life.
In 2017, the Lord enabled me to rejoin Cornwall Alliance, after a gap of 9 months. I have always felt a calling to work at Cornwall Alliance (since the year 2010 when I first came to know about the organization).
Working with Cornwall has been more than just a job. While it is imperative from the Scriptures that every Christian has to work for his employer as if unto the Lord, working for Cornwall actually helped me embody that.
My life in 2017 has been nothing short of an adventure. Yes, there were storms and floods, but with every surging wave, the grace of God grew even bigger in my life.
